This year, 29 outstanding theatre productions have been recognized with nominations, showcasing the incredible talent and creativity that Toronto's Theatre community has to offer.
Leading the nominations is the Crow's Theatre and Musical Stage coproduction of, Natasha, Pierre & The Great Comet of 1812, which garnered an impressive 16 nominations. While Canadian Stage's production of The Inheritance (Parts 1 & 2) leads all plays with 9 nominations.
In a year of remarkable productions, a total of 67 different theatre productions received votes from the jury for nomination consideration. Additionally, an outstanding, 187 different individual performances were recognized by the Toronto Theatre Awards jurors, receiving votes for nomination across the various categories. This reflects the diversity and depth of talent that has graced Toronto's stages this year.
The Toronto Theatre Awards aim to honour excellence in theatre, and this year's nominees represent the pinnacle of artistic achievement in the theatre community. The Toronto Theatre Awards extend our heartfelt congratulations to all the nominees.
